Are you guaranteeing that my university/course provider will give me a commendation?

No, that would be silly. We are completely independent from and have no connection to any course provider .We are promising that if you buy YourGDL, subject to these short Terms and Conditions, we will refund you the cost of the book if you don't get a commendation. What we're saying is, we think our notes are pretty good. (Disclaimer: this is not a frequently asked question - no one has ever asked us this…)


Are you in any way connected to, endorsed by, affiliated to or operated by BPP, the University of Law or any other course provider?

Nope. (Disclaimer: no one has ever asked us this one either).


Can I buy individual modules separately?

Unfortunately we do not sell individual modules separately. YourGDL includes all 7 subjects and costs £40.99.


How long will it take to get my book?

We will dispatch your notes through Royal Mail via first-class post, which aims to deliver your parcel the next working day (including Saturday) within the UK, but, for your own peace of mind, make sure you order in good time before your exam!

If you have not received your notes within seven days of receiving your dispatch email or for other queries regarding delivery (overseas posting, ordered notes to the wrong address etc.), contact the delivery team at deliveryquestion@gmail.com. Please provide your order number so we can trace your order and help answer your question a.s.a.p. You would have received this order number in an email from Amazon when you placed your order; it is a 17-digit number divided into chunks of 3, 7 and 7 - for example, “204-8548604-9284323".


I’m trying to purchase but I can't see this grey Amazon button?

I put the wrong address in when I ordered, please can you deliver elsewhere?

If you've done this, you need to contact deliveryquestion@gmail.com immediately. If the book has already gone out, you will need to contact whoever is resident at that incorrect address and ask them to look out for your book. Once a book has been sent out, we cannot recover it and we don't offer a refund in these circumstances.


Do you ship overseas?

No, not at the moment.


Can I try before I buy?

There are a number of PDF samples available on the Contents page. Please feel free to have a look. Sorry, but we can’t send you any additional PDFs!


Is there an electronic version available?

YourGDL does not offer electronic versions of the notes.


I don’t study at BPP. Are the YourGDL notes applicable for students at the University of Law/other institutions?

If you're studying at the University of Law, check out the original version of YourGDL, which is tailor-made for students on the University of Law course.

We have many other customers who don't study at either of these institutions but still find the notes very helpful. Have a look at the Contents page and Samples to see which version would be most suitable for you. The content of most GDL courses is very similar. If you’re totally stuck on which edition would suit you best, contact us at info@yourgdl.co.uk and we can have a chat about which set of notes would be most suitable for you.


I’m studying part-time, when should I buy the notes?

The extent of the legal changes and the updates to each edition vary from year to year, so it's very difficult to predict. Some people buy the notes in their first year of study and make any updates required as they go along in your second year. Some prefer to buy the updated edition when they start their second year. If you aren't sure, drop us a line and we'll be happy to let you know if there have been fundamental changes to your second year subjects.


What do you do with my data?

We never sell your data on to third parties and treat all your information confidentially. We use the secure payment processing service provided by Amazon. We solemnly promise not to spam you.


I've received the book but I've changed my mind/left the course?

If having received a product you decide you would like to return it you must tell us so by email within 14 days of receiving the product. You will then have up to 14 days to return the product. Please include your transaction ID with the parcel and in your email to us to ensure that we can find your order on the system. This will allow us to issue your refund promptly. We're strict on these time limits so please don't delay getting in touch.

Please note that we do not cover the cost of return postage. We don't mind what class of postage you use to return a book, but we recommend that you obtain proof of postage as we cannot be responsible for returned items which go missing in the post.


Help, my book has arrived but it's faulty?

Your rights when this happens are set out in the Consumer Rights Act. Get in touch by email and let us know what's happened and we'll sort it out.
